Eye Surgery....

I had the surgery on Monday March 1st, 2010. Today is March 9th and I went for a follow-up appointment this morning. The surgery itself, although scary, was basically painless except for the IV in my hand (I hate that!!). So far I'm not able to see clearly out of my eye but the Dr. said it takes patience and of course I must follow the healing procedure which includes being diligent with the eye drops and no heavy lifting or bending for a few weeks. Now this may sound pretty basic to some but do you realize how many times in a day I want to bend or lift something heavy?! If you want to get an idea of what the surgery is, you could try googling trabeculectomy - but be prepared. You may not like what you see. Yes it is amazing to me that God has given people the ability to do things like this. Hopefully by next week, my vision will hve improved.
